Lyons announces the new Deloitte Financial Services – Business Transformation Assured Skills Academy

Economy Minister Gordon Lyons today launched an Academy of Assured Skills in Financial Services – Business Transformation, in partnership with Deloitte, offering 20 high-quality training places.

The Assured Skills Academy will see participants receive six weeks of industry-relevant training with South Eastern Regional College (SERC). Successful completion of the Academy guarantees participants an interview for a Belfast-based Operations Excellence role at Deloitte within their group of specialists in the financial services industry.

Emphasizing the timeliness, the minister said:
“I am pleased to announce 20 training places on this Academy of Assured Skills in Financial Services with Deloitte and SERC.

“This academy is a great opportunity for people with a degree in any discipline, or relevant Level 5 qualification and experience, to retrain for a career in financial services and potentially ” get a job at the multinational Deloitte.

“I urge all who are interested and eligible to apply.”

As such, we are delighted to announce the latest edition of the Deloitte Financial Services – Business Transformation Assured Skills Academy in partnership with the Ministry of the Economy.

“The Academy offers a wide variety of challenges and will provide a fantastic opportunity for graduates to receive training to develop the skills that businesses in Northern Ireland demand. We’re looking for innovative people, problem solvers, and people who enjoy working together. It’s a great opportunity for those who get a place.

“The SERC is delighted to partner with Deloitte to provide valuable financial services training. It is an opportunity to develop skills and acquire a qualification in a growing sector. Assured Skills Academies enable the college to fulfill its commitment to meeting employment needs through high quality training and education, training the workforce of tomorrow and supporting economic growth in Northern Ireland.

Due to the pandemic, training can be a hybrid of onsite and online learning via a virtual classroom provided by SERC.

Applications for the Deloitte Financial Services – Business Transformation Academy are open now and will close on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2: 2 degree in any discipline, or a Level 5 qualification (HND or basic degree) in a related field such as business, technology or data, as well as ‘one year of relevant experience.
